Facilities

80a Sandy Place, Long Beach is a brand new three bedroom duplex located a stones throw from the beach. The property has excellent inclusions such as TV, video, microwave, dishwasher, CD player, stereo, BBQ facilities, ceiling fans, dryer and double lock up garage. The duplex sleeps seven with two queen beds, one single, one bunk and one trundle bed.

Eligibility

Those eligible to stay in the duplex are as follows:
  • Army - Regular and Reserve
  • Navy - Regular and Reserve
  • RAAF - Regular and Reserve
  • Retired Defence Personnel
  • Defence Civilians
  • Family of the above (only when eligible member stays)
  • Defence Contractors, Staff of ADCU, Defcredit, DHA and Emergency Services
You will be required to verify your eligibility by providing your APS/Service/PMKeys number, rank and current unit (where applicable) during the booking process. This information will be checked on receipt of your deposit.

Tariffs and Seasons

Where possible Sandy Place will be let Saturday-to-Saturday during high seasons. The following tariffs will apply:

Ask for the availability of the Army leased duplex, 80a Sandy Place, Long Beach. Army members can book the duplex nine months in advance of their stay; all other members can book six months in advance. To check availability go to www.batemansbayaccommodation.com.au

The AAF Company Board has directed that the lease of this property will not be renewed.  Therefore bookings will cease with effect 22 November 2009.

Payment

Defence members will be treated as any other guest with regard to deposit and payment of tariff.

50% deposit will be required to secure the booking, with the balance of the tariff to be paid on arrival at the real estate. A letter will be sent to you on booking to detail these procedures.


Length of Stay

To ensure a maximum number of members have the opportunity to use the house, stays are restricted to one weeks duration during the high season (see above). During all other periods there is a minimum stay of two nights required during the week, with special provisions applying for weekends. Bookings for the short stays may only be made one month in advance. Members may elect to extend their stay, if within ten days of the stay, the house has not been booked.
